Everything was just great - the staff, the facilities, the comfort. The breakfast was great as well. The willingness of the staff to assist and to make the best possible experience for us is incredible

We did not have breakfast! We did not know it was offered!
Location of apartment was perfect walking distance to the town square, shops and restaurants!

Elounda is a compact small town on a beautiful sheltered bay. Easy to walk around to visit shops and the many restaurants, tavernas and cafes. In high season it's very much a resort but it's also really nice to visit it out of season, when it's just a working town. There are expensive resorts and hotels outside the main town and it's obvious that there is sufficient income for the local authorities to keep the roads, pavements, infrastructure, etc., well maintained, unlike some other places on Crete.

Would be a charming town if not sooo many tourists who are being brough to Elounda with big busses to do boat tours.
Above has impact on prices and daily routine in the town, leaving little space for Cretean live-style.

Elounda is a great place - very pretty, everything you need is within walking distance - you dont really need a car. Beaches are close by, or you can walk further out to them. Bars and restaurants all around - some cheap and cheerful, some traditional some finer dining - but all are excellent.
You can get boats from the harbour/port to various places. Lots of places to visit - Spinalonga, Ag Nik, Heraklion, museums etc
Also if you like walking - there are a lot of options around the peninsula and along to Plaka.
It isnt cheap but isn't expensive. There are A LOT of English people who go to Elounda (regularly) - but its not full of sports bars or English breakfast places!
A really good place for a first timer to Crete or Greece.
Everybody is friendly and its a very chilled out place.

Elunda is a little fishing village that has grown with the tourist industry, loads of taverna's and restaurants easily keep you going for two weeks, some nice bars as well.
We go in May or September, September is still up to 30 deg and the sea is lovely and warm, it is a lot quieter and relaxing with older people being the main tourists.
The town has two good beaches, It overlooks a bay that is guarded by Spinalonga Island formerly a leaper colony and before that a Venetian fort, worth a visit by boat from the harbour.
Along the coast a couple of miles in a Taxi is Placa a charming place to have a meal or a drink in the evening, has some very good restaurants with a beautiful view of Spinalonga.
The other side of Elunda is a large town of Agios Nikolaos Lots of shops and things to see even more restaurants.
We hired a car for a few days and went out and about there are a few interesting arclogiclde sites within an hours radius, Kritsais a very old village inland up in the hills, it is worth a visit with lots of craft shops and taverna's and nice views,
We have been to Elunda 4 times and will go back next year hopefully.

The holiday homes are cultured, there are no vendors on the beach, or loud music. There are a lot of rocks in the sea and the fishes are biting :D, so it's worth wearing water shoes. It's a calm and clean city, the locals are nice, the food and drinks are amazing, they give you big portions. There is a lot of wind in Elounda, but Plaka is really windy. There is some nightlife in the bars, but nothing rough. The vacation here is relaxing and pleasant.

Elounda is outstanding.A number of restaurants are on jetties streching out into Elounda bay.
The Blue Sea Cretan Cuisine and seafood restaurant located in front of my hotel was fabulous! Exceptional food and service at great prices.
Elounda and Spinalonga is full of lovely local shops selling beautiful items, many hand made.
The local people I found to be warm and welcoming.
The atmosphere was relaxed with plenty of available sunbeds on the sea front.
I felt no need to go anywhere else as I was staying for 1 week, although there were boat trips on offer along the sea front. I did get the bus to Agios Nikolaus for 1euro 80 each way around 20 minutes from Elounda.
The hosts, the newly-refurbished rooms, the VERY comfortable bed and pillows, powerful shower, good air-con, the welcome Prosecco and fruit, bottles of water provided each day - all of it was spot on. Our balcony overlooked the hustle and bustle of the harbour and was great to watch the world go by, and was literally seconds to get to restaurants, bars, the beach and the boats to Spinalonga.
Everything about this little hotel is perfect, and should we return to Elounda we would not look to stay anywhere else.
We stayed in Sapphire Zen Suit with Whirpool. Hotel location was very good. Shuttle service was very helpfull (whenever we called, they came and picked us) The views at Cool Living area and in the room were amazing. People (especially Efi in Greco Levante) and services in A La Carte restaurants were very nice. Good brands of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The barmen Anastasia in Lobby Bar was very good and professional. Check in and check out was very quick and staffs were friendly.
Hotel was awesome! Loved that they had a gym! Beach front was not as nice as it could be , there is a boat rental company that is right there basically where you would swim.
Food was great, not cheap however was nice portions and well made. Drinks expensive but well made.
One negetive that I would say is the hotel is a taxi drive from everything. Keep this in mind if you want to do things around Crete. Walking is a bit far to any near by areas of interest.
Amazing view from the suites. very good breakfast. great service and staff. clean, good atmosphere in resort surroundings. Elounda area is nice and cozy.
we had a rare problem of some noise coming from some equipment in the room. the staff did every effort to fix it and also to solve the situation for us immediately, including to offer us a change to another suite (so we will not wait till it’s fixed) and solved the situation with care and kindness.
I am so happy have chosen this property for my stay in Crete, the Hotel is even better than it looks in the pictures. The rooms are amazing bright and modern, the views are spectacular and the girls at the front desk are just wonderful!, especially Vicky which goes above and beyond to ensure your stay goes smoothly. The staff are simply there to make your stay memorable and make you feel at home. Will definitely go back!🙏
Great location, first class facilities especially the room with pool and balcony. Staff service amazing, professional yet also friendly and welcoming. Breakfast excellent and dinner in two different restaurants of the highest quality. One of the best beachside hotel I have stayed in . A must stay when you visit Crete. Thanks for making our holiday there a memorable one.
The view of Elounda bay, the Island and Spinalonga from the balcony is Delfina's/Dolphins' greatest advantage.
The location could hardly be better if you want "central", and don't mind some traffic noise.
The owner and host George, Γιώργος, is an example of the best of Crete : Hospitable, helpful and serviceminded, not to mention his sense of humour.
The view was amazing and the family owned atmosphere was evident in all they did. Breakfast was great each morning and the chef offered a special each evening for dinner. We decided to get massages and our expectations weren't too high given we love our technicians back home. However, the masseuse that Elounda Heights uses for massages was amazing!
I visited 3 years ago and the hotel has changed a lot after a major renovation.
Elounda has many beautiful hotels but the main reason we always book the Elounda Peninsula is for the location of its suites. Where ever you are located you have totally privacy but within 2 minutes you have easy access to all facilities.
Definitely recommended.
Very friendly staff, service was efficient with no formality,, rooms were relatively spacious and well appointed.
Having 2 small private beaches was fantastic to spend lazy afternoons in the sun without having to leave the hotel.
Very accommodating of a late check out.
Location was very convenient close to Elounda village.
Hello ,
Hotel working on all inclusive, so it is Very comfortable option , also amazing type of building, perfectly fills into the local landscape , quality food and good service, adults only , everywhere are pools different size , great work of gardener and good possibilities for activities, hope will come back
This was a large and specious luxury villa. The owner did his best to make us feel welcome from the moment he greeted us to the moment we said goodbye. For most of our stay, he was never too far away (in the basement apartment) and always available to answer questions or provide anything we were missing.
The location was perfect as we could take a short walk into town but we were in a peaceful and beautiful place.
Kavos Bay is like a little paradise in Elounda! I can’t imagine a better place to stay. The staff are highly skilled and very kind and welcoming.
expectations are met only at the entrance to the lobby of this very dated hotel. in fact the only thing they were concerned about spending money was the lobby furniture. then you go up the stairs to get to the room. it all ends there.
Marvelous views into the Mediterranean! This is a nice somewhat oldish hotel that has received a good lift-up in amenities.Very welcoming reception and friendly staff. All in all a lovely short stay. Wish we had more time!
Excellent place, there is everything that You need - superb hotel, hotel restaurant with tasty food and fresh orange juice in breakfast mornings, pool, bar, cozy beach, and a lot of white wine! :)
For me the location was good because I had to reach a place nearby. However, the hotel is about 10-15mins walk from the town center of Elounda. Price was ok compared to other hotels in Elounda.
